Not only did they get married during a global pandemic but it was also the wettest day on record! But nothing could stand in Jessica and Max’s way.

Full of creative touches (check out the headdress and those gorgeous paper flowers made by Jessica, who has a flower allergy!), delicious seasonal food and pops of colour, their micro wedding on a working farm near Edinburgh is making us smile!

Planned in just two weeks, after being rescheduled twice, Melissa and Nick decided to be bold and just go for it. We are loving their style!

LGBTQ Wedding at The Caves Edinburgh - Elemental Photography 1

In a rare event for these times, Kirsty and Aimie were married on their original wedding date! Inspired by “a love of Scotland, being geeks and rubgy”, they tied the knot in one of Edinburgh’s best-loved music venues, The Caves.

Aimie and Kirsty plan to hold their after party on their first wedding anniversary, next spring. Sounds like a great idea to us!

It was fourth time lucky for NHS workers Amy and Alfie, who spent their original wedding date working on the Covid wards and for Track & Trace. They were married in their garden in Glasgow, just two hectic weeks after moving in to their new home.

Their wedding is a beautiful reminder that all you really need is to be marrying the one you love.

June 23rd 2021 – If all goes to plan, weddings with dancing, singing and mingling will be able to take place in Scotland again from August 9th.

Mainland Scotland is expected to enter Level 0 on July 19th (three weeks later than previously anticipated). And the hope is to lift remaining restrictions from August 9th. Meanwhile, many island communities are already in Level 0.
