WFIL launched in 2012 and what an incredible journey it has been so far! Since then we’ve featured more inspiring stories than we could possibly count and have become an amazing resource for Scottish weddings. We hear on a daily basis from couples based in Scotland, the UK and all across the world, telling us that they simply couldn’t have planned their Scottish wedding without us.
We couldn’t do this without you, our couples, and suppliers who share your incredible wedding stories with us. So thank you.
OUR VALUES
We believe in ALL love. That black lives matter. That no person is illegal. And all humans are equal. That love knows no borders. And trans women are women, just as trans men are men. We’re anti-ableist. And body positive. We believe in love over fear.
We’re an indie business with a tiny team, but it’s important that we do more, to be the change we want to see in the world.
We continue to educate ourselves in ways to be actively anti-racist and to better support BIPOC. And be a better ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and underrepresented folks, including people with disabilities and visual differences. There is so much that we and the wedding industry as a whole must improve on. It’s lifelong work and we’re in it for the long haul.
We are working to make our (already warm and welcoming) online community of wedding businesses a truly safe space and continue to share resources and discuss issues including diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Each year our family of suppliers nominates a charity and a portion of their listing fees goes towards supporting this charity. This year we are supporting the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Although it will never be our intention, we will mess up in our language and impact at times. And we could always do better. So please do hold us accountable.

WFIL is led by Sarah & Cat, who love to help couples connect with badass brands, incredible wedding creatives and makers, and amazing venues and places all located within Scotland.

Sarah & Cat met on a blind date on Valentine’s Day in 2017. True story. Their mutual friend thought they’d hit it off and oh boy was she right. Along with their own businesses (as a photographer & planner) they also have two other businesses together (one being WFIL!) and almost 8 years later the rest, as they say, is history!
What’s the second business, I hear you ask…?
In 2020 we started Wee Wild Weddings, an elopement company to give folks a chance to be married during you know what. It was a roaring success, and here we are 50+ weddings later, still going strong!

Sarah truly is an absolute joy. Her unwavering positivity and infectious smile makes it impossible to not be happy when she’s around! She’s also an incredible photographer with the ability to make anyone feel at ease in front of her camera. She’s my BFF & work wife – I genuinely love getting to work with her every single day & can’t imagine not having her in my life. She’s da best!

Cat literally lights up every room she walks into. She is full of energy and loves solving a problem – usually with her emergency kit of dreams! We seem to share a brain as we’re always on the same page which is why we’ve started so many businesses together! She is my work wife and BFF and I’m so excited to take WFIL to new and exciting places together!
