Jenny Mugford is a life celebrant with Agnostic Scotland. She works with couples to create heart-led, inclusive, relaxed ceremonies reflective of their beliefs and relationship.
Based in South Ayrshire, Jenny’s warmth and kindness gently guides couples through their wedding ceremony.
Weaving Scottish traditions with the tale of your love, Jenny crafts ceremonies that are personal and memorable. She loves getting to know couples, and creating a story that is a genuine and unique reflection of your own love and values. She prides herself on leading ceremonies that are inclusive, filled with love and, above all, relaxed.
Jenny is available to officiate legal marriage and civil partnership ceremonies across Scotland. She also loves guiding couples and families through non-legal ceremonies such as vow renewals, naming ceremonies, memorials, funerals and life celebrations.
As part of Jenny’s service, couples will receive a beautiful presented copy of their ceremony, a lovely memento of their wedding. She is also committed to helping rewild the Scottish Highlands, Jenny commemorates every ceremony she leads by planting a tree in the dedicated Agnostic Scotland grove – www.treesforlife.org

Jenny married us at the Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon. Right from our initial contact, we found Jenny to be warm and friendly and extremely helpful. She met with us several times leading up to our big day and provided us with many ideas and suggestions and helped shape our ceremony so beautifully. Jenny was full of support throughout the planning process, checking in with us regularly and offer all manner of help as we had no idea what we were doing! She listened to our wants and needs and placed them perfectly in the most wonderful ceremony, carving out just the right amount of time, style and words. She made us feel so at ease during the ceremony, making it feel comfortable for both us and our guests! Our guests were in awe of her too, saying how perfectly she fitted in with the feel of our day. But when we found out Jenny had trained as a celebrant we couldn’t think of anyone better to ask to marry us.
