He’s been doing his thing for over 10 years and is absolutely in love with his job. He’s a bit of a nature boy, which makes rustic settings, castles and highland elopements his wee niche. Who wouldn’t love hiking around the history and wilderness of Scotland with a likeminded adventurer.
He absolutely gets that not everyone likes having their picture taken, which is why he gets to know you as a couple, makes you feel at ease and ensures that your personalities are on show in every frame.

A trustworthy tradesman is worth their weight in gold… and that’s what we found in David. Both being introverted, we appreciated David’s kind and patient nature, putting us at ease and making the idea of having our photo taken less intimidating! What really touched us was how he got to know us, taking an interest in our day but also in who we are, you can’t put a price on that kind of heartfelt approach to work. This is where his passion shone, his passion for photography but also for his clients. We were blown away by the quality and beauty of his photographs and his attention to detail but mostly by his friendship to us. Yes this is his business but it is his passion and you are instantly made aware of that when you meet him. As well as taking photos on the day we received an artisan wooden box that included a USB stick with all of our photographs and a slideshow, along with some prints and sweet treats! We have now ordered one of his beautiful albums and know we won’t be disappointed by the final result. As we eloped, just the two of us, the photographs were incredibly important to us as they were how our friends and family would be able to experience our wedding. We wanted photos that looked like us (on a good day!), felt like us and had a touch of the dramatic about them. We Skyped pretty quickly after we first made contact and he made us feel totally relaxed and at ease as we chatted away like friends. David always responded super quickly to any questions or ideas we had and was genuinely excited when we said we were quite adventurous and keen to have some fun with the pictures. On the day, David was just wonderful. Neither of us have had professional photographs taken before but within a few minutes we barely noticed he was there as he snapped away some amazing moments that we are so glad we can look back on and remember now. With David, we swung from a rope swing, walked through a bonfire and climbed (yep really climbed) up the side of a mountain. Our friends and family are all in agreement they are some of the best wedding photographs they have ever seen, and really do capture us as a couple. All we ever really wanted.
