Briar Rose Design is a sustainable florist and flower grower working in a natural and wild flower style. Mel grows her own flowers and works with other local growers to bring you the most beautiful and environmentally friendly seasonal arrangements for your wedding. Wherever possible Mel will source flowers locally and try to tie her designs to the seasons, working in a relaxed botanical style. Whether it’s a wedding, an intimate dinner party or workshop you’re after, Briar Rose Design can bring the outside in with beautiful naturally inspired designs.
Mel loves working with couples to decorate their wedding in a wild flower style with sustainability at the heart of everything Briar Rose Design does. Mel works best when she can be most creative and most couples just give a few suggestions of colour which Mel then creates something magical with, using seasonally available materials. Don’t worry about not knowing flower names or varieties, Briar Rose Design can take care of all of that and translate your moodboards into reality using the best flowers of the season. Fuss free for you and fun for Mel!
From elopements and micro weddings up hillsides to installations and hanging pieces in barns, castles and warehouses, Mel is happy to flower up any space. She looks forward to hearing all about your wedding and bringing your ideas to life.

Our flowers on the day were just beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned (yet somehow even better than I could’ve ever imagined). Mel was amazing from start to finish and made all of our flower/greenery dreams come true for our wedding! We knew we wanted bright, joyful colours and Mel absolutely delivered. I had my heart set on greenery hoops for a woodlands feel and Mel worked with us to make it happen within our budget. Mel did a stunning job of all of the flowers for our wedding. She was open to new and unusual ideas, and was really accommodating when we changed our venue and that altered what we needed for the day. Our bouquets were beautiful, and I love that she uses local Scottish flowers wherever possible (most of which she grows in her own garden!). Our aisle decor was a total hit, and overall I am so grateful for everything she did. Thanks so much Mel!
