AN ELEGANT WEDDING AT POWFOULIS MANOR HOTEL, FALKIRK

As practical minimalists, Jane and Stefan knew exactly what they wanted for an intimate, yet beautiful day, celebrating their love in an elegant micro wedding at the gorgeous Powfoulis Manor Hotel in Falkirk.

What inspired your wedding plans?

We are both practical people, and I’m a minimalist so that worked really well in knowing exactly what we wanted for a small but intimate and beautiful wedding.

Tell us about your venue…

We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it. It’s such a beautiful period manor. The venue also had large, gorgeous lawns and woodlands around it.

I’ve always loved Scotland and I think it’s one of those places that makes weddings romantic. However, the main reason we got married here was that we wanted Stefan’s family to attend our wedding without any stress of travelling over to us.

I wore a classic and elegant style wedding dress with a beautiful veil. I just loved the design and fit!

 

Your photos are making us smile!

Oh Christine was just amazing! She was very professional and yet so warm and friendly. I was so nervous on the day and lost my confidence but Christine arrived and made me feel so much better and I suddenly got my confidence back. The photos she took of us were absolutely beautiful! I found Christine online and her work stood out for me. Her photos were romantic and natural. She captured her subjects really beautifully.

Tell us more about the flowers…

My flowers were so beautiful. They were all done as I wanted them to be. With a touch of pink in my bouquet, it represented my personality. The florist was very lovely and professional.

Which of your suppliers completely rocked your wedding day? We’d love to hear your top three…

They were all amazing! But I will give it to my photographer Christine because we are still looking at the pictures and feeling so happy about them.

Were there any challenges along the way?

It was a little bit stressful with planning the wedding and also having to travel over from England. But it was all worth it!

Any advice?

Try not to stress too much, take mini breaks from planning and organising. Enjoy the process and the day.
