AN INTIMATE AND MEMORABLE WOODLAND WEDDING

Planned in just five weeks, Suzanne and Brendon’s intimate log cabin wedding is sure to inspire. Their day featured in Issue Nine and left us longing for a romantic, woodland adventure of our very own.

“It was important to us that our wedding was as intimate and private as the life we share together. We felt that making this commitment to each other was going to be such an intimate moment, so we wanted to experience it with as few people present as possible.”

“Family is very important to us. Brendon’s mum lives in South Africa (where he is from originally) and due to illness couldn’t travel for the wedding. She always dresses in a sari for special occasions and I wanted to honour her and her culture by wearing one too. Brendon wanted to show his admiration for my family and culture also, so he wore a kilt.”

“Think about what is important to you rather than trying to please other people. We have a couple of people that, of course, would have loved to be there with us, but this was our day to enjoy solely for ourselves and it was perfect. It was the best day we have ever experienced together and was entirely stress free.”
