Photos Of The Month

It feels a bit like we blinked and suddenly it’s May. Which means that we get to look back on our favourite wedding photos from last month – yay! And then have to pick just five to share with you – aaah! As usual, it was pretty tough but here are the ones that completely stole our hearts…

1. CRUSHING ON CONFETTI

Inspired by their blank canvas venue (the incredible The Byre At Inchyra), Lucy and Andy opted for rustic styling for their September wedding. We loved their colour palette of burgundies, blush pinks, plums and raspberries, and all the fun moments including marshmallows toasted over the fire pit and surprise fireworks throughout the day.

This photo by Crieff Photography sums up the day perfectly – so much joy and laughter! See their rustic Scottish wedding in full here.

2. DOWN BY THE WATER

After meeting at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and getting engaged at the pub where they had their first date, Carolyn and
Laurence planned a rustic celebration full of DIY and personal touches. Watched over by Ben Lawers, they partied the night away in Scandinavian style tipis after a ceremony in Killin Parish Church.

This photo by Struve Photography had us longing for a glamping celebration of our very own.

3. FIRST LOOK

Photographer, Lynne Kennedy was in exactly the right place to anticipate this moment. This is one of our all-time favourite reactions to a first look (where the couple meet before the ceremony)!

Kirsty & Angus’ wedding in one of our favourite places in Scotland, the wild and remote west-coast peninsula of Applecross, gave us all the feels!

4. KEEP IT TOGETHER

We love this moment, captured perfectly by Soraya Photography, where Zoe’s bridesmaids are trying not to lose it. We’ve all been there!

Inspired by trips to the Scottish Highlands as a child, Zoe knew that it was where she wanted to have her intimate wedding. After finding the perfect church for their ceremony, she and Dwain enjoyed a relaxed, rustic celebration at Glenfinnan House Hotel on Loch Shiel.

5. LIGHT & SHADE

Inspired by friends, family and forget-me-nots, Laura and Ross planned a relaxed wedding in the Perthshire countryside. With a menu inspired by a favourite restaurant and marshmallows toasted over fire-pits (a throwback to childhood camping trips), it was a day full of the things they love.

We love the light and shade in this photo by Mack Photo. Hop over here to see more from Laura & Ross’ Perthshire country house wedding.

Thank you to everyone who shared their wedding stories and incredible photos with us. And just wait ’til you see what we have lined up for this month! x
