Photos Of The Month

In between eating all the chocolate eggs, we’ve been busy picking our favourite photos from March. It wasn’t easy to choose just five, but we finally managed to narrow it down. From sunshine to snow, tears to laughter, this month had it all…

1. A very white wedding

We love the way Joanna and Duncan embraced the elements at their December wedding. Their photographer, Rebecca Rose Noller captured so many wonderful moments, including this one.

With the help of their family and friends, Joanna and Duncan created their own table decorations and place settings (we loved the pheasant feathers!), and spent the whole weekend amidst the wild beauty of the Cairngorms national park. Sounds pretty perfect to us! See more from their day here.

2. Bright and bold

Jenny and Chris’ wedding completely stole our hearts. Incredible island location – tick! Rainbow hair and gorgeous Vivienne Westwood dress – tick! Love and laughter – tick! Impromptu post ceremony game of Pooh sticks – tick!

Inspired by the things they love and the Isle of Skye, they celebrated tying the knot with a colourful weekend. And this photo by the incredible Lynne Kennedy perfectly sums up their wedding. So much to love.

3. Keeping it natural

Last year we visited the Craigellachie Hotel in Speyside (aka whisky country!) for the first time and instantly fell in love. The warm welcome, stylish interior and beautiful scenery has made us want to go back ever since.

Heather and Campbell’s laidback outdoor wedding took place at the Craigellachie footbridge, and we loved the way they personalised their day with handmade sgian dubhs and a cake stand made from recycled skateboards. This moment during the speeches, captured beautifully by Mirrorbox Photo, gave us all the feels.

4. Hold the phone

Looks like some major gossip was going down at Abi & Ewan’s wedding. A huge high five to their photographer, Eilidh Robertson for catching this one. It made us laugh lots!

You can see more from Abi & Ewan’s rustic Perthshire wedding here – the day perfectly reflected the two of them.

5. Rich colours and vintage glamour

Inspired by “the most wonderful time of the year”, Leanne and Neil’s winter wedding was full of vintage glamour, fairy lights, rich colours and cosiness.

And as for the surprise confetti canons – let’s just say that they provided a wonderful whiteout effect. This fantastic photo by Nicola Stewart made us smile lots.

We loved getting to look back at these wonderful stories and photos. Can’t wait to share more inspiring Scottish weddings with you this month! April is looking pretty incredible…
