Friday Loves

Anyone else got that ‘schools out’ feeling? With only 3 sleeps to go we are well and truly on holiday mode. And to get us in the mood, here’s a few seasonal treats for you…

Wedding Planning

While Christmas may mean winding down from work, we know that for many of you it means full-steam ahead with wedding planning.

As your new year diary fills up with appointments and open days, here’s one we know you won’t want to miss (think stunning, historic Edinburgh city centre venue):

The Surgeon’s Hall are holding their wedding open day on Sunday 21st of January. It is a guided tour of their venues, with our wedding co-ordinators there to answer any questions.

It’s by appointment only basis, between 12 and 4, so all you need to do is confirm a timeslot with the events team at events@surgeonshall.com

Quote of the Week

“Ok, so the pant part. It’s a tricky one. Many ladies think they need to go for those crazy Bridget Jones, hold me in, tight knickers. In my opinion, for most brides it’s just too much. Often, they create a problem elsewhere, by leaving a line on the leg where they stop or on the belly.”

If you’ve not already read and digested expert blogger Mette’s advice on all things bridal underwear then it’s a must. Possibly one also to bookmark.

This week I’ve been mostly…

1: Getting through the never-ending pre Christmas to-do list. Am I there yet? It’s within touching distance I reckon. And the rest? It can wait until the new year.
2: Planning my seasonal viewing. On the watch list so far : the Holiday, Muppet’s Christmas Carol and binging a little on the new series of The Crown.
3. Feeling inspired by Vintage Vibes’ Christmas Cosy Campaign. Our kids loved creating a Christmas card for a lady named May. Such a top charity.
4. Perfecting my homemade mulled wine recipe (favourite is Jamie Oliver’s – he adds a vanilla pod – mmmm)
5. Trying to stop the cat destroying the Christmas tree/lights. The struggle is real people!

We hope you’re getting ready to button down the hatches and cosy on in with your loved ones. You deserve some chill time. Alie x
