Friday Loves

After seeing everyone’s snowy pics on Facebook for what feels like forever, we are delighted to report that we (finally!) had our first snow shower this week. Between that and the frost that we’ve been waking to each morning, it really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Last minute gift ideas

Still on the hunt for those last few presents? Here are a few ideas we’ve spotted:

Paying homage to the mist that covers Scottish shores, these 100% lambswool tartan scarves perfectly encapsulate còsagach (the Scottish equivalent of hygge, according to Visit Scotland’s new campaign).

Our lovely friends over at Little Botanica have just launched 12 new hand-tied bouquet making workshops for 2018; one a month themed around the birth flower for the month. Be it Sweet Pea in April or Aster in September. Head over to their website to buy a gift voucher (or to book a spot for yourself!).

And one for the craft beer lovers… In collaboration with Brooklyn Brewshop, Brew Dog has created a reusable kit to recreate their flagship Punk IPA at home. A gift that just keeps on giving!

Quote of the Week

“Sandra definitely likes to keep things different and proved that as she rocked up in a Royal Mail post van to her impatiently waiting Dad. Nobody knew she was arriving in such style and it was a lovely surprise that put big smiles on faces.”

Simple and true to themselves, Rob and Sandra’s stone circle wedding was like a breath of fresh air.

This week I’ve been mostly…

1: Chugging back coffee and working late (with my other, photographer’s, hat on!) to get Elemental’s new website launched. And we finally did it – which means it’s rum o’clock!
2: Wondering if I’ll ever get around to writing the beautiful pack of Christmas cards I brought home from Copenhagen.
3. Watching A Christmas Prince on Netflix. Had to be done!
4. Wishing I was on a festive trip to NYC, after reading about Toria’s recent visit. Still can’t get over her shoe-shopping story!
5. Helping my great-grannie celebrate her 98th birthday. Watching her hugging and laughing with my little girl was just the best!

Hope your weekend is filled with sparkle and, fingers-crossed, a magical dusting of snow. Christina x
