Friday Loves

Happy weekend folks! We are ready for this one for sure, how about you? And we reckon it’s safe to start talking Christmas countdown (truth told this is one of our favourite seasons). Read on for some weekend inspiration…

The Cosy Winter Nosy

We are excited to let you know about the Cosy Winter Nosy (best name ever) that Comrie Croft are hosting.

It’s on 3rd Dec, from 3 – 6pm and is the perfect day for a potter around the Croft, with all sorts of wedding ideas (and suppliers) to inspire. You can find out more about Comrie Croft here on our Wedding Collection.

Oh and did we mention that they’ll have a fire on in the courtyard and the chance for you to toast a marshmallow or two. Tempted? Of course you are.

Quote of the Week

We love when brides share their honesty about the wedding dress hunt:

“I knew what I was looking for so it made it pretty easy to whittle things down. As much as I would love to be a skinny minnie I’m just not: I’m a curvier girl with bigger boobs and so I wanted to find something that would flatter my body shape, be comfortable and enjoyable to wear and not squeeze myself into something just to meet the current fashion.”

Anyone else thinking that Nicola looks absolutely stunning in her Suzanne Neville dress? Looks like a pretty perfect choice to us. Check out Nicola and Steven’s wedding if you’ve not already and be inspired to search for the right dress and not just the one you think you should buy.

My week in five

This week I’ve been mostly…

1: Eyeing up Hoka trainers (apparently it’s like running on soft cushions with a pair of these?) it’s my birthday soon so I’m dropping hints
2: Listening to Rita Ora’s Anywhere (favourite in our car at the moment)
3: Planning my Christmas Jumper (next week we are running Gingerbread Shoots at Blue Sky so I need to dress for the occasion right?)
4: Dreaming of Monsters (between our son’s favourite book of the moment – A Monster Calls and the John Lewis advert I’m all Monstered out!)
5: Adding extra layers – brrrr…(see above for the Christmas jumper 🙂 )

Happy weekend! Hope it’s a cosy one. Alie x
