Friday Loves

We’re not going to lie, these dark evenings are taking a bit of getting used to. But talk of snow on the hills is making us feel pretty excited for all the adventures that winter will bring! If, like us, you’re feeling pretty ready for the weekend to arrive, then why not take a cheeky wee coffee break and enjoy our Friday Loves…

A new member of the crew

This week we were excited to welcome Sean Bell Photography to the WFIL Wedding Collection – our handpicked list of Scotland’s incredible wedding suppliers and venues.

Sean studied photography and film in Edinburgh and has been a full-time wedding photographer in Scotland for over 10 years. He loves the outdoors and travel, and lives in a wee cottage just outside of Edinburgh with his partner Justyna (who is also a photographer) and his son, Elliot. We’ve been crushing hard on Sean’s work for some time now – we bet you can see why!

Quote of the Week

We love a booze-inspired chat up line, don’t you? Samantha’s made us smile:

“We met in 2012 at the Corinthian in Glasgow, after a few drinks I thought Michael looked like Ryan Gosling (which on reflection he doesn’t) and decided to use this to start talking to him.”

It did the trick! Samantha & Michael got married at Glasgow University Chapel and then celebrated at Lochgreen House Hotel. Photo by First Light Photo.

My week in five

This week I’ve been mostly…

1: Sipping on Rhubarb and Ginger tea – so yummy!
2: Thinking that I need these socks by Megan Massacre to brighten up grey mornings (they’re limited edition so best be quick if you feel the same).
3: Listening to Queens Of The Stone Ages and getting a bit giddy about seeing them in Copenhagen this month.
4: Getting majorly distracted by all the beautiful and creative real weddings that have been coming in – you can send us your day here.
5: Trying to follow my four year-old’s space chat and saying, “Good question! Let’s ask Google shall we?” quite a lot. Incidentally, this looks more like my kind of Dark Matter.

Hope your weekend is full of fun and maybe a few fireworks too! Christina x
