This week we’ve been enjoying the sunshine (and the rainbows along the way!), loving all the romance in our real weddings and dreaming up new adventures of our own. Here are just a few of our favourite things…
Tying the knot
After following her story as she planned her Scottish wedding from the USA, we all loved getting a sneak peek at our guest blogger, Jillian’s castle wedding. From the owls to the surprise for her groom, it had us hooked to the very end. We can’t wait to see her wedding photos when they are ready!
Quote of the Week
“My mum had been unwell – she ended up having major heart surgery three weeks before the wedding. It was an emotional time for us all as we didn’t know if she would be recovered in time to attend the wedding. Thankfully she battled on through and was by my side. I am so grateful!”
Jillian and Luciano ’s romantic Scottish/Italian wedding was a celebration of all that’s really important in life. We had to pass the tissues around when we read their story.
And you can watch their wedding film highlights here. So beautiful!
And don’t forget…
If you’re on the hunt for an exquisite dress for your big day, then be sure to head along to the launch of the Bridal by Freja collection in Edinburgh this Thursday evening.
We got to take a peek at the new collection this week and believe us when we say, you do not want to miss it!
Five things I’ve been doing this week:
1: Packing for a cheeky city break. After much deliberation, this is my new hand luggage of choice. I love that it holds my laptop and has lots of pockets for all my bits and pieces, and it fits perfectly under the seat in front. It’s also equally at home in the street or the hills.
2: Looking forward to reading Ali Smith’s ‘Autumn‘. But not allowing myself to start it until I’m on the plane. Most likely with a large glass of red.
3: Loving my new Lipstick Queen Eden red lippie – a birthday pressie from my bestie. The colour is said to be universally flattering and it glides on.
4: Laughing a lot at this Blade Runner 2049 interview with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. Too funny!
5: Burning Diptyque’s Baies to relax, while trying to tick everything off my (growing!) to do list.
What are your plans for the weekend? Whether you’re hunkering down for a movie binge or heading out to explore, we hope you have a great one! Christina x
