Weekend-ready, or Friday frenzy? Whatever your mood we reckon you need to take time to take stock.
As we hurtle towards the end of another week (just us or are you also wondering how it got to be mid-September already) we are sharing a few of the pretty things that have made us stop in our tracks this week…
New brand, new love
We are loving the new look from Dragonfly Dress Design… now known as Dragonfly and ButterBee Vintage
How beautiful is this dress (featured in their new logo)? It’s in the style of 1950’s Parisian fashion adverts. Good to know also that the dress can also be recreated in ivory for brides. Love it!

Hello Wedding Venue
If you’re new to wedding planning and are on the hunt for a spot to hold the wedding of your dreams, then we know you’ll want to know that both The Signet Library and Mansfield Traquair are throwing their big, beautiful doors open and welcome brides and grooms to be.
Why not pop along and check them out?
On 22nd September between 6 and 8pm The Signet Library are hosting their event. Pop them an email, or simply drop in and see the space for yourself.
And/or the following Friday 29th September (depending how your Friday nights are shaping up) why not pop along to Mansfield Traquair between 6 and 8pm. Equally breathtaking, there’s not a wrong choice.
We know you’ll love them both!
Quote of the Week
We all fell in love with Cameron and Max’s wedding this week. And sound advice from Cameron on th wedding planning front:
“Come up with a list of your top wedding priorities early on and try to stick to it. Wedding planning can get crazy, and you can spend as much time (and money!) as you want, but try to stay focused on what’s really important to you.”

Five things I’ve been doing this week:
1: Creating a Spotify List of Beautiful Songs (top of it has to be London Grammar – if you’ve not heard them you need to listen to them on Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Beautiful with a capital B.
2: Stocking up on my autumn reads. Top of the list (already half way through) Kate Mosse’s The Taxidermists Daughter. Gothic thriller at it’s best. #happiestwithmyheadinabook
3: Rollerskating. Seriously I reckon I could have smashed it if this was an Olympic sport (I mean back in the day with my original blue rio disco skates). I still manage to hold my own with my 8 year-old and her friends through 😉
4: Hunting for a new dress for the season. Fact – dresses are easier to wear as you only need to decide on 1 item. Still not found the one for autumn yet though. Recommendations gratefully received.
5: Feeling guilty about not running (I’ve booked for a 10k at the start of October and I need to get back into that regular running rhythm again) It can be done right? Need to lose the guilt!
Whatever you’re up to this weekend, have a blast and be sure to add a little chill time somewhere in there. Alie x
