Friday is here and we are ready to welcome the weekend with open arms. From stonking giveaways to festival frolics here’s what has us smiling…
We’re delighted to celebrate with Ditte from First Light Weddings. This year seems her reaching some pretty top milestones personally and professionally. Not least 10 years of running First Light Weddings.
To celebrate this pivotal moment in her life and career, Ditte is doing a giveaway on her Facebook page so hop on over and check it out.
The prize? A 1-hour photo session with 5 high resolution files and a framed desk print. The session will take place in Edinburgh and can be used for an engagement shoot, family photo shoot, a personal portrait session or commercial portraits.
The winner will be announced on 2nd October.
Sounds a pretty hot prize to us, so what are you waiting for?
Quote of the week
Susie and Nonie’s story has captivated us all. From Susie’s brilliant writing style to their openness and honesty we have taken them both into our hearts. But this month’s update had us reaching for the hankies…
“Then that’s it, in less than 3 weeks I will get to publicly celebrate my love for the person who has made me happier than I could ever have thought possible! Who I never get bored of, want to hang out with all the time, makes me laugh every single day, and makes me want to be a better person, more like her.
“I’m not usually a gushy type, hard as nails like. But stuff it. For this short period of time I’m going to be gushy. I am so looking forward to marrying Nonie. And all the other stuff doesn’t even matter one bit!”
Yup, we warned you…
In case you hadn’t noticed, Edinburgh has a festival or two going on. Where to start when deciding on a show? Here’s a few we have in mind
1: Mother’s Ruin: what can we say – it’s a cabaret and it has Gin. We’ve heard such good things about this one so it’s on our watch-list.
2: Dare – Colin Cloud: this is the kind of show that will literally take your breath away. Not sure how he does it, but this guy could actually be the real Sherlock Holmes.
3: The Free Festival: a good place to check out if you’re doing a few days and not wanting to completely blow the budget. Check out the Free Sisters and the Pear Tree for starters.
4: The Book Festival: probably the place you’ll find us. Hanging out in the writers retreat, or hoping to bump into a favourite author or two.
Whatever you’re up to we hope it’s fun-filled and spent with those you love. Alie x
