Feeling weekend ready? Been feeling that way since Wednesday? Wine o’clock is well and truly here, so pour a large glass, kick back and settle down. For we have some lovely news to share…
Love everything 1950s?
If you’re a Fifties gal at heart, then be sure to head to the new pop up boutique from the fabulous Dragonfly and ButterBee Vintage. Based within Neverland Nails (another favourite of ours!) on Elderslie Street, Glasgow and just right next door to their original shop, it is full of gorgeous, vintage-inspired clothing and accessories. To see the latest opening hours, events and offers for the pop up shop, keep an eye on their Facebook page.
And there’s also a fantastic offer for those of you looking for a 1950s style wedding dress. Dragonfly and ButterBee Vintage are offering any bride getting married between the months of January to March 2018, 15% off any 1950s collection dress. To qualify for the offer, you must be booked in with first payment made before the end of September 2017. The 15% is off the cost of the dress only (dress cost is usually between £650-695). Belts, petticoats, any customisations and alterations will all be added at full price. Email email@example.com to book an appointment.
Looking for The One?
Love the idea of getting married in the heart of Edinburgh, in a place full of stunning period features and historic importance? One of our favourite venues in the capital, Surgeon’s Hall, is holding a Wedding Open Day on Sunday, July 23rd.
The team would love to give you a personal tour and show you what’s on offer – call 0131 527 3434 to book an appointment.

All the love for this lady
We are so proud of our guest blogger and dear friend, Mette who is spearheading a Macmillan Cancer Support campaign this week (you may remember reading her story here). In this inspirational interview, Mette – who owns Freja Designer Dressmaking – talks about how she chose to live her life as normally as possible after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2016.
Not only did she keep working through her treatment but, having now gone through 21 weeks of chemotherapy and surgery, and 4 weeks of daily Radiotherapy, Mette celebrated her recovery by completing a 10k in Glasgow for Macmillan Cancer Support last month. And in true Mette style, she smashed her fundraising target too.
A little preview…
Before you get your weekend on, we thought we’d leave you with a little peek at a few of the incredible elopements, weddings and honeymoon features we have coming up on the blog… July is looking pretty amazing!
We’ll be back tomorrow to share a rather beautiful day. See you then! Christina x
