We hope autumn is treating you all well so far! We’re loving embracing the cooler days by bundling up in cosy clothes and getting our hygge on (not sure how we’ll explain the candle bill to our accountant though!). As the leaves start to fall around us, we’re faced with the fun but always tricky task of picking our favourite Scottish wedding photos. Here are the images that made us smile, tear up and quite frankly want to hop onto a classic motorbike and hightail it into the sunset with our true love, this month…
Places, people and photography like this are the reason we felt that Scotland really deserved its own, dedicated wedding blog when we launched We Fell In Love (almost 5 years ago – eek!). This country never fails to blow us away with its beauty! And a bride who borrows her friend’s (Primark) leather jacket and wears flip flops to her wedding sums up #ScotSpirit perfectly. The brooding sky, the ancient hills in the background and the bride with a brolly – this could really only be a Scottish wedding. The romance conjured up in this walk by the newlyweds was just too much to resist. (Photo by Tandem)
Meanwhile, a special mention has to go to these very well turned out VIP guests. We can only guess how many attempts it took for these three to achieve this pose. So good! (Photo by Tandem)
We were a little sad that we didn’t get to see a photo of the best man’s wedding ink (although to be fair it was in a rather intimate place), but Caroline and David’s festival-inspired wedding still made us smile lots. (Photo by Raymond Keith Photography)
Joanne & Liz’s intimate West of Scotland celebration was full of our favourite things. A sublime setting for a very beautiful day. (Photo by NDK Wedding Photography).
The first of our fabulous guest bloggers tied the knot and we were so excited to share her official photos! The imprompto moment when a piper led Hannah & David up Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, playing one of their favourite Scottish songs, was so very special. (Photos by Peter Atkins and Phil Murwill)
You can actually feel Susan & Hamish’s joy when you look at this photo. We would have loved to have been guests at their library wedding – late night stair-sledging always gets our vote! (Photo by Craig & Eva Sanders)
Someone is feeling the love for sure! A polka dot dress, lots of limoncello and a dog with a floral garland – there was so much to love in Helen & David’s Glasgow wedding. (Photo by Wilson McSheffrey)
Packed with bold brights and DIY charm, Laura & David’s Trossachs wedding was the perfect reminder of summer days spent in scenic places. We loved their super relaxed wedding style. (Photo by Kevin Key Photography)
This breathtaking biker elopement on the white sands beach of Luskentyre, in the Isle of Harris, gave us all the feels. It was a spontaneous, very personal celebration of two people in love, with a good amount of serendipity too – one of Scotland’s top photographers just happened to be on the beach that day to capture the moment for them!
