Our top 10
photos of August
Happy weekend! Ehm, how is it possible that it’s almost September already? Just in case you need a little reminder of what an insanely beautiful month August was, then here are our highlights from this month’s real weddings.
Dinesh & Rachel became husband and wife in the ethereal surroundings of The Fairy Glen. They celebrated by drinking whisky from a quaich (the Scottish cup of friendship), before visiting the spectacular Quiraing for photos and then enjoyed Highland hospitality at its best that evening. This Skye elopement is just magical. (Photo by Lynne Kennedy Photography)
Deborah & Brian’s castle wedding featured one of our all-time favourite colour combos (we heart grey and yellow big time!), lots of daisies, a cake made by the talented bride and a very fun ‘Friends’ theme. (Photo by Samantha Lovett Photography)
This proud mum moment, captured as Craig & Andrew exchanged vows, made us more than a little emotional. Their film-themed Glasgow wedding had us at hello. (Photo by Mark Timm Photography)
A wedding day that started with an early morning beach ceremony and ended with a party in a barn featuring a bucking bronco – sounds like our kind of celebration! Oh and did we mention the pier jump? (Photo by Elemental Photography)
An island wedding, a ruined church, and some golden hour magic… we were smitten when we clapped eyes on Carrie and Douglas’ intimate Isle of Bute wedding. So very beautiful. (Photo by Chic Photo)
There was a whole lot of love in Julie & Peter’s vintage inspired, homely wedding. Even the guests arrived in their 1920s attire and kept the celebrations going till the wee hours of the morning. (Photo by Story of Love Photography)
Rachel + Renán’s romantic lighthouse wedding remains a firm favourite here at WFIL HQ. With views to the Orkney Islands, and an Old Engine Room for the rustic after party, it’s little wonder they fell in love with this rugged setting. (Photo by SDM Photography)
With 1,000 handmade paper cranes and a beautiful beach ceremony, Heloise & George’s community wedding was filled with sun, sea, sand and Hebridean hospitality. (Photo by Soraya Photography)
This stylish city wedding was oozing in Old Holywood glamour. From Rebecca’s exquisite dress (and those Chanel shoes!) to the sparkly styling and elegant flowers, there was a whole lot to love. (Photo by Blue Sky Photography)
Laid-back and beautiful in equal measure, Tabby & Nick’s West Kilbride elopement left us longing for more broody skies over Scottish beaches. (Photo by Dave Fallon Photography)
