We’re In Love

Here’s what has caught our eye this week

Love the idea of working with a wonderfully creative, friendly team in a couture bridal studio amidst the Georgian splendour of Edinburgh’s New Town? Of course you do! If you’ve got serious skills when it comes to dressmaking – plus some formal qualifications like a passed apprenticeship as a dressmaker or ladies tailor, or a HND in fashion or costume design (or similar), and preferably have worked with ladies occasion wear or bridal wear for a couple of years – then this could be your dream job.

Run by award-winning Danish designer dressmaker, Mette Baillie, Freja Designer Dressmaking creates the most beautiful bespoke wedding dresses and occasion wear (regular readers will know that we are serious fans!). Email your details and CV to enquiries@freja-fashion.co.uk if you would like to apply.

Jenny Packham for David's Bridal 200

We’ve had a little peek at the new The Wonder by Jenny Packham Fall 2016 collection, exclusively available at David’s Bridal, and we are a little smitten. Featuring bridal, bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses, as well as a selection of new accessories, new styles feature Packham’s signature artisanal craftsmanship with light beading and feminine details juxtaposed with contemporary structured shapes.

As well as gorgeous gowns for bridesmaids, the collection also features two super cute flower girl dresses. So there’s lots to love! You can check out the collection at the David’s Bridal store in Braehead, Glasgow.

And we have a serious shoe crush on these gorgeous Coco Crystal ice blue heels by Sophia Webster. Not only do they look amazing, but they can be your something blue, and the “Wifey for Lifey” print on the bottom is a perfect photo op – tick, tick, tick! It’s little wonder this style sells out every time it hits the shelves.

The quirky new styles designed by the lovely Kat from Rock N Roll Bride for Irregular Choice have also caught our eye – rumour has it that they are selling out super fast, so best be quick if you want to grab a pair!
