“I’ve worked with Claire (of Those Were The Days Vintage) and makeup artist Cori before on a few styled and creative shoots and we have always talked about doing a real 1960s bridal wear shoot,” photographer, Solen tells us. “We all love that era of fashion and Claire sources the most beautiful dresses and gowns. Once Hopetoun House said we could shoot there we just had to go for it with this idea that we’d all chatted about.
“I was very keen to work with Fiona and Nicola again as I’ve shot both of them individually and just knew they’d look amazing together (they are sisters!). Hopetoun just has so many beautiful little spots inside and out that we were spoilt for choice. As the weather was good we shot more outdoors than we’d planned as the backdrops were light, airy and had lovely creamy tones that suited the vintage bridal styling.”
