How about getting married in a library? From stately homes, to boutique hotels, there are lots of beautiful libraries where you can tie the knot. Not only are the often cosy and relaxing places, they’re also great to keep your guests amused as they await your arrival. Above: The Royal Hotel, Comrie, Romancamp, Callander and the sublime Signet Library.

From a styling point of view books are perfect objects. From stacking, to adorning with florals, we happen to think they’ll help dress a room perfectly. And you could even go all-out and have a reading area for big (and small) people to chill out.

When it comes to table names, a literary theme lends itself to this. From your favourite classics, love stories, children’s books, or even quotes from your top reads, you can go wild with this one. You could even run a sweep-stake for your guests to guess the quotes. A little bit of competition goes along way at a wedding (especially if there’s a well-earned prize!)

To help kick-start your literary theme ideas, we’re loving the above – Vintage Table names, Etsy and Penguin Save the Dates and Invites, also Etsy. If you’re going down the DIY route, maybe best to start collecting some of those books now…
So book lovers, how are plans going? We’d love to hear your ideas. Alie x
