at Pulteney Distillery

& Norseman Hotel

With its soft apple green and ivory tones, this wedding oozes Scottish charm by the barrel load. It also happens to take place at the home of one of our favourite malts, so what’s not to love…

Love at first sight or gradual attraction?
Gradual Attraction.
We were inspired by…
We were given the opportunity to get married in a distillery which we loved and made the most of.
How did you personalise your wedding day?
We picked a unique location to get married and we added personal touches of our wedding signs and a wishing well for cards and messages from our guests.
What was on your wedding menu?
Starter – Lentil Soup; Haggis, Neep and Tattie Tower with Whiskey Sauce or Galia Melon with A Fruit Compote
Mains – Chicken Balmoral stuffed with Haggis; locally landed stuffed Haddock served with a prawn butter or Roast Caithness beef with yorkshire pudding
Puddings – Orkney Fudge Cheesecake; Pavalova; Sticky Toffee Pudding or Selction of ice cream
What is your advice for future brides and grooms?
Enjoy every single second as it really does go by in a blink. Dont stress out, just relax and enjoy your big day.

First dance – choreographed routine or sedate shuffle?
Our First dance was to ‘Caledonia’. We are not the best at dancing so it was more a shuffle.
Where did you spend your wedding night?
We stayed at the Norseman Hotel Wick
Why Scotland?
Scotland is home to us so it was the ideal place.
What’s the one thing you’ll never forget about your big day?
I’ll never forget anything about my big day. It really was the most special day to me, marrying my best friend and spending it with the people that mean the most to us.
