City Chic Wedding
The Hen – Part 2!
Susan has bagged herself a real good catch. Not only does Al run for charity
(in a wedding dress), but he also hoovers, cleans and irons! He’s a keeper for sure. With less that two weeks to go the general feeling is huge excitement with a teeny bit of stress creeping in…
“Well the saying goes, while the cat’s away, the mice will play… With that in mind I hoovered the flat, cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes and ironed my shirts! I did find some time on Saturday to go clay pigeon shooting for the first time. I went with a few friends to a farm near Loch Lomond. It was really good fun and I managed to hit a few clays. I did however, manage to give myself a nice bruise on the cheek form the kick off the shotgun!”
Susan’s weekend: “My bridesmaid Kirsty absolutely excelled herself organising my hen weekend. Twelve of us went to a 5 star house in Kenmore, complete with hot tub and boy did we have an absolute ball! Kirsty had thought of every single detail, including childhood pictures, individual party bags for everyone, sashes for Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom, handmade bunting and even hen party cupcakes!”
“We had hilarious games, a relaxing yoga lesson, a bike trip, a posh dinner out, LOTS OF FIZZ served by a lovely Butler in the Buff, and Al even made an appearance (in the form of a mask)! It was just brilliant and everyone now can’t wait to meet up again at the wedding, only two weeks to go!”
Yoga, fizz, butlers in the buff and some soaking in the hot tub? These girls know how to hen for sure.
Any advice for Susan and Al on not letting the stress in at the final stages of planning? Alie x
