The course of true love never did run smooth, but despite having to woo a slightly less smitten Emma and proposing with a large rip in his trousers while being attacked by midges (albeit in a stunning Highland setting), Ross got his girl in the end. Their country wedding was full of rustic styling and quite possibly the biggest, best smiles we have seen in a submission. We heart Emma & Ross and their gorgeous wedding, and think you just might too…
Love at first sight or gradual attraction?
Gradual attraction on Emma’s part; Love at first sight for Ross.
How was the question popped?.
On top of an island in the West Coast Highlands, surrounded by midges and with a large rip in Ross’s trousers!
SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE?
Old: Emma’s Gran’s bracelet. New: dress. Borrowed: Hannah’s (Bridesmaid) garter. Blue: sapphire earrings
Any unexpected moments?
Emma surprised Ross with personalised Lego cake toppers, Dale’s (best man) speech gift of a jar of Hellman’s Mayo.
Best compliment on your wedding?
Emma’s gran said she wished she could relive the whole day again in slow motion.
Honeymoon or mini-moon?
Both! Mini-moon on the West Coast, where Ross proposed. Then the honeymoon in Cape Town in November
Did you embrace or ditch tradition?
Somewhere in between. We kept the traditions that mattered to us most.
CLOSE YOUR EYES AND THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY. NOW, DESCRIBE IT IN THREE WORDS…
Love, laughter and crazydancing.
We both love it and couldn’t imagine anywhere else!
FAVOURITE THING ABOUT BEING HITCHED?
The fact that everything was amazing already, but now everything is that little bit better.
Such a fun, pretty day! But I think what we all really want to know is – where did you get your personalised Lego topper Emma? Christina x
