We Fell In Love

City Chic Wedding

Prosecco & Planning

As we take another glimpse into Susan and Al’s wedding world, we’re pretty bowled-over by how organised these two are. They’ve even sent out the first of the invites…

Susan and Al with Chantal Lachance-Gibson

Susan and Al enjoy a glass of bubbly with Chantal.
“It’s been another hectic week in wedding land! On Monday evening we met with Chantal and Scott to discuss our photographs, and they treated us to a lovely glass of prosecco. We discussed the type of photos we like and they are both so friendly and down to earth. We’re hoping to take some of our pictures up at the Cloisters where we got engaged. Al spoke to the University and they’ve kindly given us a letter of permission to take photos on campus.”

“On Tuesday we collected our invitations from Lynn at Je t’adore. She had them all ready to go in their printed envelopes. Definitely a huge time saver part of the prize! We hand delivered a few invitations straight away and the others are now on their way. A few are going as far as America and Australia.”

Glasgow's Necropolis

Glasgow’s Necropolis.
“Friday evening saw us driving out to Kilmacolm to visit Steven at Gryffe to find out more about the video. He talks us through the day and showed us some clips of weddings he was editing. It clearly takes a lot of creativity to make the fantastic videos. Al got carried away asking him techie questions about all his equipment!
“Al and I took advantage of the lovely weather on Saturday to wander over to Make Believe on Great Western Road. They were helpful and friendly and described the decorations that were included in the prize for us. We’ll need to meet with David at Arta to get his expert opinion on the best place to set them up. Later on we delivered more invitations and enjoyed a walk around the Necropolis.

After we got home we made a start on the table plan. It went surprisingly smoothly and we’re quite happy with them! So far we’ve only put names down, we’re yet to tackle the challenge of arranging people around the tables. We’ve gone for some ‘interesting’ table names. More to follow in future updates!”

Wow – can you believe Susan and Al’s invites are going out already? Anyone got any top tips on table plans? Alie x
