City Chic Wedding
Far from letting the grass grow under their feet, Susan and Al have been moving forward at a pace with wedding planning. It’s been a tasty sort of week…
Susan and Al meeting Steve, from Judge Hardie and the Crimes, over Saturday brunch.
“We’ve made a lot of progress on our to do list and been able to enjoy some of the tastier decision making. We are both delighted to have secured a great band for the evening. We first heard Judge Hardie and the Crimes
at Dundee Oktoberfest last year. They are great fun and they interact really well with the audience. We just need to think of a few songs to choose for them to add to their extensive repertoire! We met with Steve from the band on Saturday and he had some great ideas.
Al’s thoughts on Susan’s wedding dress scheme! And some of our ideas – based on their Pinterest Board…
“Saturday was a busy day, after meeting Steve, Susan chose her dress and had all her measurements taken. Her Mum travelled down from Inverness to see it and help her make her mind up. Incredibly, she has chosen the first dress she tried on! Obviously I’m not allowed to know anything about it but I’m hoping for some neon colours and fairy lights!
Cake tasting (is there any more fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon?)
“After the dress was chosen we went to Liggy’s Cake Company
to choose our wedding cake. This was particularly enjoyable as we got to taste some delicious cake. We have chosen a beautiful elegant style with flower details and a selection of flavours for the different layers!
“The flower girls dresses have arrived and the bridesmaid’s dress should arrive this week. Over the next few days we hope to get our day guest list sent off to Lynn at Je t’adore
to get our invitations out.
We love the speed and the focus with which these two are attacking their wedding-to-do-list. Any tips for Susan and Al planning a wedding in only a few short months? Alie x
