We are stepping right into summer with Linda and Morgan’s pretty country house wedding. With all those luscious pinks and creams, we’re in pastel heaven.

We were inspired by…
Summer, France and pastel pinks.
HOW DID YOU PERSONALISE YOUR WEDDING DAY?
We had ‘Back to the Future’ music on exiting the church. We created our own wedding sign, French menu, table numbers and goody bags for the children.
What was on your wedding menu?
We had Summer red berry fruit cocktail with elderberry jelly to start. Then a choice of three mains: Plaice Veronique with asparagus, beans and new potatoes, served with a light grape veloute topped with puff pastry fleuron or Pan roasted supreme of Perthshire chicken with sage potatoes, summer beans and pan jus, or Root vegetable pithivier finished in heather honey. Then Strawberry mille feuille to follow.

FIRST DANCE – CHOREOGRAPHED ROUTINE OR SEDATE SHUFFLE?
We danced to “Then he Kissed me” by The Crystals. The first 40 seconds were loosely choreographed for us (a bit of finger snapping and spinning!). Then the bridal party and partners joined us on the dance floor.
What is you advice for future brides and grooms?
Relax and enjoy the day. Things might go wrong but they’re out of your control and at the end of the day it’s all about you and your partner.
Where did you spend your wedding night?
Harburn House.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU’LL NEVER FORGET ABOUT YOUR BIG DAY?
There were so many enjoyable memories, it’s hard to single one particular thing. From the weather to the vows, to the company, it was a great day from start to finish!
Why Scotland?
It’s home.

My fiance really wants a Delorean for his wedding car but has given up as there seem to be none for hire in Scotland according to Google. I’m looking into this further to see if I can surprise him. The wedding is based in Musselburgh, East Lothian. Would you please email me the contact details of the owner of the above Delorean in the hope that I can make John’s dream come true. Thanks Pearl.ReplyCancel
