Spicing up a

Romantic European Break

——– Contributed by Expedia ——–

If you’re taking a romantic break with your partner then there are a variety of places in Europe that seem designed with couples in mind. Paris and Amsterdam are renowned for being amongst the most romantic cities in the world, and Sweden has some of the continent’s most beautiful natural landscapes. However, if you want to spice things up a bit and experience a more risqué side to these conventionally romantic destinations, here’s how to add that extra dimension to your trip.

Paris by Night

Burlesque in Paris
As well as romantic walks by the Seine, French dinner dates and visits to the city’s many museums and galleries, you can turn up the heat on your romantic break to Paris by spending the evening in some of the world’s best burlesque clubs. Le Crazy Horse is renowned for being the most risqué option where classically trained female dancers perform provocative choreographed routines wearing nothing but coloured lights and black tape. For something a little tamer but equally spellbinding there are the opulent, spectacular shows at the famous Moulin Rouge in Montmartre.

Amsterdam Info

Eroticism in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is an endlessly romantic city with its canals, historic architecture, waterside cafes and bicycle culture. It is also the location of one of the world’s best erotic museums, where you can learn more about the history of eroticism as well as its place in art over the ages. A floor of the museum is dedicated to S&M and there is also an exhibition space for contemporary erotic art. For the more risqué, Amsterdam also has a number of venues – including their own ‘Moulin Rouge’ theatre – where couple-friendly erotic shows take place.

Spa Holiday in Sweden
Sweden is one of the best places in Europe to get back in touch with the great outdoors. You can enjoy wilderness trails through lush green forests and log cabins in summer, or adventures through the snowy wilderness in winter. To add that extra sensual dimension to your trip there are an abundance of spas in Sweden that offer couple’s massage packages and pampering treatments. Whether it’s in the stylish island capital Stockholm or beyond the Arctic Circle in the northern Lapland regions. These are a great way to get back in touch with your bodies and feel well and truly relaxed as you enjoy saunas, steam rooms and massages together.
Spicing up a romantic European break can be a fun way to add some excitement to your relationship whilst sharing new experiences together. Which of these suggestions would you most like to enjoy with your partner? Would you consider any of them out of bounds?
