Top five apps for

planning your wedding

——– in association with Argos ——–

There’s no denying that wedding planning can be stressful at times. If organisational skills aren’t your strong point, then keeping track of guest lists, budgets and to-do lists can feel like an impossible task. And then there’s the added pressure to create a stylish, personal event that your guests will remember for all the right reasons. Luckily there are lots of apps out there to help. We thought we’d break out our new iPad from Argos and test them for you.

wedding party app

Wedding Party – Free
Love the thought of being able to collect all of the photos from your wedding day in one place? This app allows you to do just that. Guests can either log in before the wedding and take photos using the app throughout the day, which will then be automatically uploaded to your online album. Or they can upload their photos after the big day – either via the app or by desktop, which is great if they don’t own a smartphone.
We can’t emphasise enough just how much we love this app – it looks great, is easy to use and is an amazing way to bring all of the memories from the day together. Guests can also leave messages and interact with each other. And photos can easily be shared on Facebook too. There’s just so much that you can do with this app. And it’s free. What’s not to love?

pinterest

Pinterest – Free
If you’re not already using Pinterest, then now is the time to start. Allowing you to easily create image boards by ‘pinning’ favourite photos online, this app is perfect for wedding planning. From mood boards for the styling of your big day to inspiration for hairstyles to honeymoon destination ideas, its uses are endless.
You can also use it after the big day to plan your next project – that trip of a lifetime/home renovation/nursery decor ideas.
Be sure to check out the We Fell In Love Pinterest page for Scottish wedding planning inspiration. Happy pinning!

lonely planet fast talk 2013-12-05_007

So you’ve booked your honeymoon and bought a new bikini, but haven’t quite got around to learning the lingo yet. Cheat and sound like a local in no time, by downloading this handy app from travellers’ favourite, Lonely Planet. With a choice of five languages, plus audio playback to nail pronunciation, it will come in handy for future trips too.
Five great apps, but if I had to pick a favourite I’d go for Wedding Party. I haven’t been so impressed by an app in a long time. Jay
