Love at first sight or gradual attraction?
Most definitely LOVE at first sight across the smokey dance floor!
How was the question popped?
We were on holiday in Dubai when Kevin popped the question. It wasn’t the most romantic proposals especially with all the places we visited on our trip; Kevin asked me on the last night in the hotel room! And he got my middle name wrong!
SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE?
I was gifted an antique pearl necklace from my sister for my something old. Kevin bought me new diamond earrings and a bracelet. I had a blue lace handkerchief for my something blue. I wasn’t wearing anything borrowed but we did borrow a Quaich for the wedding service if that counts!

ANY UNEXPECTED MOMENTS?
None! The day couldn’t have gone better.
BEST COMPLIMENT ON YOUR WEDDING?
Great food and beautiful setting!
HONEYMOON OR MINI-MOON?
We have been very lucky and doing both. After the wedding we went to St Andrews and stayed for 4 nights at The Old Course Hotel. We still have a trip to Florida and Las Vegas over Christmas and New Year to look forward too.

WEDDING STYLE?
Rustic Vintage – Pintrest is a must for ideas!
DID YOU EMBRACE OR DITCH TRADITION?
We wanted to have some traditional elements. We included the Scottish tradition of drinking from a Quaich during our service to celebrate our first drink together as husband and wife. We also included the Grand March to kick start our evening reception. We ditched wedding favours and had a sweetie table for guest to help themselves instead!
CLOSE YOUR EYES, THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY… NOW DESCRIBE IT IN THREE WORDS…
Happy Ever After!
FAVOURITE THING ABOUT BEING HITCHED?
Knowing we have the rest of our lives to grow old together.
Anyone else loving the idea of a mini-moon and a honeymoon? Alie x
