Fairytale Wedding

38 days to go…

From organising gifts for their bridal party to planning a Grand March, there’s no such thing as a quiet week for #WFILwedding winners Lois & Matthew…

“We have had a quieter time this week. We met with our lovely band, “The Big Show” and chatted about what kind of music we’d like to enter to and played at the reception. We are going for a ceilidh and covers night, starting off with the Grand March (a North-east tradition) but with a twist!!
“We saw the band that we have chosen at a wedding last year and we thought they were amazing. They really got everyone up on the dance floor and created a brilliant ambiance.
Speaking about music made it feel so real and I have started getting a bit nervous. Not about getting married but just about making sure the day runs smoothly and that we are all organised.”

“We have also been looking for gifts for our bridal party, which has been a bit challenging. I have chosen my gifts for the bridesmaids but Matthew hasn’t picked the ushers’ gifts yet.
“I have been super anxious this week as my bridesmaids have been planning my hen party, which is on Saturday, and it’s all a surprise. I’m really excited, but also nervous because I have wild friends and I’m not sure what they will have in store for me!! Eeeeeeekkkkk!!!”
Grand March with a twist? I’m intrigued! Anyone else planning an unusual first dance? Christina x
