at St Salvator’s & Lower & Upper College Halls
Chloe and Graham met in this world-famous Scottish town, which boasts history by the bucketload and a breathtaking coastline. It was the natural place to say “I do” and then enjoy a fantastic, chilled party with their family and friends.
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue?
Old, borrowed and blue: a sapphire ring, borrowed from mum. New: dress, shoes, headdress, husband.
Best compliment on your wedding?
Nothing pleased us more than when people told us how relaxed they felt – that’s exactly what we had wanted.
Honeymoon or mini-moon?
Working honeymoon, kind of. Within a fortnight of getting married, we were on a plane to Mexico, where we have been happily living and working ever since.
Close your eyes and think of your wedding day…now – describe it in three words…
Fun, happy, elegant.
No matter how far away we are, Scotland is always home. That, and the fact that we met while studying (or, more accurately, drinking) at St Andrews and wanted to go back to get married there.
Favourite thing about being hitched?
Without wanting to get overly mushy, it’s the feeling of togetherness that feels different. Decisions are made for ‘us’ now, not for ‘me’. That feels great.
